Description
Welcome to Riverside SMP, a friendly SMP server made for making good friends and memories, created by a small streamer called BuilderAiko.

Player's guide
Is Riverside SMP worth joining?
Riverside SMP is a stable but very small crossplay survival server with a clear community-first pitch and signs of stronger activity in late August and early September than it has now. Best for players who want a quieter EU-time SMP and do not mind that current in-game activity is light.
When Riverside SMP is busiest (average players by hour, UTC)
Online reliably, but currently very quiet
The strongest factual point in Riverside SMP's favor is reliability. It has 100% uptime over both the last 30 and 90 days, and it is online now. If you try it, the issue is not availability; it is finding company once you log in.
Activity has dropped sharply over the tracked period. The average fell from 1.4 in the first half of the period to 0.4 in the second half, and no players have been seen since early October. For a new visitor, that means you should treat this as a server that may be empty when you arrive, even though it is running consistently.
Best chance of company in the European afternoon
Riverside SMP is hosted in the EU, and its player pattern lines up with that. The busiest hours are 14:00, 15:00, and 17:00 UTC, peaking at an average of 3 players at 17:00 UTC. That is the window most likely to suit European afternoon into evening play.
Outside that period, the server can be empty for long stretches. The quietest recorded hours include 22:00 and 23:00 UTC with 0 average players, and even 16:00 UTC appears among the quietest points, which tells you the activity is not broad or sustained. Weekend play is somewhat better than weekdays, with 1.3 average players on weekends versus 0.8 on weekdays, and Friday is the busiest day.
A brief surge around early September
The server's high point came in early September, when it hit its all-time peak of 5 players. The weekly trend shows a modest climb through August into that early-September peak, followed by a clear slowdown. There was even a fully inactive week in mid-September before a small rebound, then another fade to zero in October.
That shape matters more than the peak itself. Riverside SMP does not look like a server steadily building momentum right now; it looks like one that had an initial burst and then struggled to hold regular in-game activity. If you join today, you are joining on the quieter side of that curve rather than during its busiest stretch.
Votes show support, but reviews and player data are thin
One interesting contrast is that Riverside SMP has 147 total votes from 27 named voters, with voting strongest in August at 66 and still active in October at 21. That suggests there is at least some committed support around the project even while in-game activity has been sparse.
The evidence on actual player experience is much thinner. There is only 1 review, posted before the SMP opened, so it does not tell you much about long-term gameplay. The Discord invite is also invalid, which makes it harder to judge how active the wider community is outside the game. Taken together, this feels more like a small project with a supportive orbit than a server with a clearly busy daily playerbase.
