Compare that to the median Minecraft server, which typically hovers around 92-96% uptime — potentially 15-30 hours of downtime per month, usually concentrated during peak play times when it matters most.

Our monitoring infrastructure pings each server using the Minecraft protocol multiple times per hour from geographically distributed nodes. When a server fails to respond, we attempt multiple retries before marking it offline. Short blips (under 2 minutes) are filtered out to avoid penalizing servers for routine restarts.
